I got to know a man over the network. I felt sorry for him because he loved the warlord he served a lot like the way I admired Alder sir. He takes promises very seriously, like I do. He doesn't think I should grow up too fast either, he worries a lot. I thought we were similar monsters.

That love kind of. Led to that mass killing a while back. I reasoned with him by using the unreliability of those rituals as reason not to do it, his lord could come back half-formed or otherwise a shell of himself.

I was confident I could understand and help this man, because I understand how he thinks, and because giving up on him felt like giving up on myself.

I got him out of jail. The police chief, I guess, at the time judged me capable and I've been living with him for a while. He's nice. Not all there, creepy, but he's okay. His friends are horrrible though.

Mitsuhide-san is off his leash, until all the conduits are killed. That was my mistake. He's done something quite unforgivable, but he won't return to me until this is over, because he promised to protect Kira.

I have no choice but to hunt down Kira to find Mitsuhide-san.

He called seeking him out and risking my life selfish. He mentioned you.

But I won't leave you in the dark, not knowing anything, and I won't make you wait.

Last I saw Kira, he was sitting in a salon getting his nails done, surrounded by women cut in half. There was one still alive, tending to him. I guess he didn't like her work, because he killed her before I could get her out of there.

[It's. Impossible to forget a terrified, desperate face and a hand reaching out to you, particularly when they belong to someone you couldn't save. But his words right now are remote and dispassionate, he's focused elsewhere.]
